2016 Event sold out + t-shirt design revealed
Today the Great Lakeland 3Day™ event has officially sold out for the fourth time in five years. To preserve the unique and friendly atmosphere of the event, places are strictly limited each year as they have been since the earliest days of the GL3D.
GL3D Event centre revealed
The 2016 Great Lakeland 3Day will start and finish at the northern foot of Bassenthwaite Lake at Herdwick Croft. Our Bassenthwaite Event Centre location opens up plenty of route options for the event with the western and northern fells close by… the only question is which way round will the courses be going!
Great Lakeland 3Day 2015 Race Director’s report
Every Race Director’s report starts with some handwritten notes about the things I wish to say compiled over the weekend, and every list of notes always starts with the words, “thank volunteer marshals”. The feedback we received from competitors at the event and now over email and social media is completely unanimous in stating how excellent the volunteers were and asking that thanks should be passed on.
2015 Course information
Once again we have a treat in store for participants at the Great Lakeland 3Day™. The planning brief is to design journeys through the mountains that are following classic and natural lines including long ridges, valley trails and a mix of iconic and rarely visited mountain summits.
